Level Up

Adjustments.jpeg

Think back on this time last year. Are you doing the same thing last year that you’re doing this year?

God would want us to grow in all areas of our lives continually. Avoiding idleness leads you to productivity. Self-reflect on where you spend most of your time on a daily basis. Time spent on mindless entertainment, avoiding responsibilities or not growing yourself can be detrimental to your progress. To see results you have to do the work.

Personally, I have things on my goal list that have been there for years and I’ve been feeling overwhelmed with my present commitments day to day that I did not set time aside to complete these goals. The overall focus of what I’m referring to is just the usage of time, in general. No matter what your goals are, if you’re not investing time into yourself working towards your goals, you’re not going to arrive any time soon.

Some of my goals remain unfinished and some not even started. Writing this is a good reminder, even for myself. Time is so valuable. Every moment counts and there is not one moment that I want to waste being nonproductive. I’m sure some of you can relate to my current battle asking for more time in a day something that’s extremely impossible and will never be granted.

In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips [tendeth] only to penury.
— Proverbs 14:23

It’s very difficult to support:

  • The book you “almost” wrote.

  • The business you “almost” started.

  • The goals you “almost” achieved.

See your goals through to the end. Reflect on what you have already accomplished and if it’s not as much as you would have wished, shift things around and become more organized with your time to invest in your goals.

When you finally reach it you’ll feel so accomplished and it will be feel like a graduation or a “life level-up”.
